Drug overdose contribute to record number of organs donors 
2. Describe in detail this event or issue:
There was also a record number of total donors, both living and deceased: 16,462, up 3% from the year before.There were more than 10,000 deceased organ donors last year, a 3% increase over the previous year and a 27% jump since 2007. More than 1,300 of those donors, or 13%, died from drug overdoses.
3. Who is involved in this event or issue?
In the past five years, the number of deceased organ donors increased 24%, while the number of donors who died of drug overdose jumped 144%. In 2013, just 560 donors had died from drug overdose or intoxication; last year, there were 1,367.
4.what is being done about it 
The most recent numbers from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate that more than 63,000 people died from drug overdoses in 2016. More than 42,000 of those deaths involved some type of opioid, the most common being illicit drugs like heroin and black-market fentanyl. And although numbers for 2017 haven't been released, provisional data show no signs of a slowdown.

6. Reflection: How does this event or issue related to you? this event is not related to me for nothing. Because non of my family have died of overdose of drugs. Because non of my family use drugs. So I haven't pass throw this. Not even me even tho people may think that just because we are in high school means we do drugs. Or that their kids did drugs in high school they think that most of us may do them too. I'm not saying that all of us are drug-free because at less 25% of the school students may us drugs and the other 75% may not. So no all of us that are in high school use drugs.
