Duties and Responsibilities: As a periodontist, you'll treat patients who have gum disease and other issues of the gums and bones surrounding the jaw. Your work may be surgical or non-surgical and might include tasks like placing impacts, developing treatment plans, and proving preventative care.
Salary: $305,820
Education: Even after you complete four years of dental school, you are not quite finished. Periodontists are required to complete a periodontics residency, which is usually three years long. In order to become board certified, you will need to pass a written and oral exam administered by the American Board of Period ontology
